Sunflower

In The Sunflower Simon Wiesenthal confronts us, the reader, with a dilemma that has supposedly been plaguing him since the 1940’s. Simon Wiesenthal describes a German SS man who wishes to escape his impending fate and receive forgiveness for the evil he has been a part of. This Nazi, Karl, is the dilemma for Simon. Should Simon have forgiven the Nazi? This is the question he puts forward to us.
Simon Wiesenthal presents the question of forgiveness and this remains the soul of the book. However, he fails to properly define forgiveness. So, the different inferable meanings must be reviewed. Certainly he does not mean to condone the actions of the Nazis. Nor did he mean to forget the wrongdoings of the Germans and absolve them of responsibility for their actions. Rather forgiveness could be viewed as a third person (non-victim) moral response to an injustice. Or should Simon forgive Karl because of the religious belief that forgiveness warrants Simon’s own eternal salvation, regardless of resentments? Many religions teach that forgiveness is an act of benevolence and will result in a better divine judgment. Does Simon have the right to forgive Karl for a massacre of people with whom he has no other connection than an et
an ethnic history? These are all issues that will have to be evaluated in order to justify forgiveness for Karl.

water pollution

Water pollution is one of the world's worst forms of pollution. For example, take a look at a glass of water. It may appear clear, but there are really millions of microscopic pollutants floating in it. Approximately 70% of the earth's surface are covered by water; water is a very dynamic system, any change in its normal content could affect local, regional, and eventually worldwide water.
Oil is one of the world's biggest pollutants; oil is usually spilled or leaked from land or rivers and flows from them to the sea or ocean. The more direct form of oil pollution is when ships transporting oil leaks or the ship crashes. Oil can also ruin shores it can was up on them and become tar like lumps; some coat fur of animals and can effect their heating system. Also some oil can find its way into other sources causing hazardous water to be consumed. In some extreme cases, rivers, lakes, and wells have been known to ignite.
Air pollution is also a worldwide polluter. Air pollution mainly comes from cars and industries. There are particles called hydrocarbons that settle or are washed down by rain from the air to the ocean.
Toxic wastes are probably the most harmful forms of pollutants. A toxic waste can be quickly passed along

The effect of water pollution depends on the type and amount of contamination, the time of exposure, and what the water was like before the pollution. An estuary is a deep and wide channel to the sea. Estuaries are flushed easily by the sea's tide and can cope with more pollution. Some signs of water pollution is some algae may die causing the marine life to starve and move to other streams or lakes there have been many lakes that are now classified as dead lakes.
Things you can do to help prevent or slow down water pollution. Use treatment of wastewater to make water reusable and of high quality. To enforce government regulations prohibiting and limiting pollution of water and to develop practices and techniques that will prevent or limit the natural runoff of pollutants. Maintain systems to declare areas to minimize litter and algae. Clean up small-scale oil spills witch threaten the waterways, and help other services to clean up hazardous chemical spills by providing advice or materials.

A horse

Horses are magnificent creatures. Horses are a mammalian animal. They live in herds of large numbers and have great sociological& physiological abilities. They also are herbivores meaning they eat no meat. The history of the horses is rather quite extensive well making it so I may only be able to brush over it. Horses live just about every where you could imagine except the Artic and Antarctic. There are many living and non-living organisms in a horses habitat. There are also many different kinds or breeds of horses and ponies over 200 in fact.
Horses live every where. This means I can’t give just one answer on the environment question. Horses mainly live in large flat areas of land such as plains, desserts, and savannas. Mean while ponies can live in areas with less stable footing such as Hills, Mountains and Dense Forest. Horses also come from all over the world. The first horses evolved in south east America over 60 million years ago. Sadly they became extinct 8,000 years ago.
As far as behavior goes it is amazing horses have a patriarchal society in which one stallion is in charge of an entire herd. One of horses’ main ways of communicating is through their ears. Depending on how a horse's ears are positioned we can tell what mood a horse is in. For instance say your horse is at a feed bunk with many other horses it knows well and is not tied. You may see its ears go and pin them selves backwards to the horses head this usually mean your horse is ticked and in this situation it is most likely because a horse lower than it just tried to or is trying to bump them out of its position. A dog

Most people said that dogs are man’s best friend and a great companion. They had been domesticated ever since the beginning of time. They are different breeds of dogs throughout the whole world and in this essay that I’m writing about, I’m going to compare and contrast three unique and one of some kind types of dogs that I chose to write about. They are the Basset Hound, the Chihuahua, and last but not least the Pit Bull.

What makes these dogs so similar is that they are the most popular pets in the world. They ordinarily remain loyal to considerate masters, and because of this they have been called man’s best friend. A dog fits easily into family life. When a master tells a dog that it is good, the animal happily wags its tail. But when a master scolds a dog, it skulks away with a sheepish look and with its tail tucked between its legs. Some dogs can herd animals in a farm, and some of them can also serve as watch dogs, or even as playful family pets. Dogs are even trained as guard dogs in peacetime by the U.S. Army and other military services. Because of their keen sense of smell, the police at times to track down escaped prisoners use dogs. Law enforcement agencies also rely on the dog’s acute sense of smell to

rose

The rose is attributed to femininity. The rose is also known as the symbol of achievement, completion and perfection. In other words, a rose can be seen as symbolizing the tests and difficulties of life to help find inner harmony, union and happiness. The purity of the rose equalizes the bliss of nothingness and harmony. Faulkner uses the rose as a symbol of Emily and how she lived her life.

Red roses as everyone knows symbolize love and passion. Emily obviously shows a strong love for Homer, but Faulkner does not show this to the reader until the end of the story. "The body had apparently once lain in the attitude of an embrace, but now the long sleep that outlasts love, that conquers even the grimace of love, had cuckolded him. And upon him and upon the pillow beside him lay that even coating of the patient and biding dust. Then we noticed that in the second pillow was the indentation of a head. One of us lifted something from it, and leaning forward, that faint and invisible dust dry and acrid in the nostrils, we saw a long strand of iron-gray hair." (Faulkner, 94) Emily obviously showed a love for this man, but did not want the town to know about it, and so she hid it until after she died. When only then would her secret be revealed.

Student life

Student life“Discipline” comes from the Latin word”disciplina” which means instruction. In most general sense discipline refers to giving systematic instructions but in real life, discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. Discipline directs work, making it fruitful and excellent

Discipline is the first law of nature. The sun rises and brings the day. It sets and there is night and the moon and the stars are visible. Man is also a unit of nature so just like nature if human beings do not observe discipline the entire social structure would fall like a house of cards Discipline is necessary on all walks of life , school , college, workplace or society. Discipline therefore, is a way of life.It is necessary for proper functioning of society and for becoming better citizens and more importantly better human beings.

Discipline is extremely important in student life. They form the core of other virtues like punctuality, cleanliness and honesty. A disciplined student is a ruler of his own. As he can rule his own wishes and habits. Thus discipline lays foundation of achieving better results, outshining in class and more importantly achieving higher goals in life, Goals higher than aimed. The decay of discipline in our society is reflected in violence , bad traffic sense in people and bad behaviour.

One must listen to elders , follow others instruction and follow ood habits to become disciplined. Self discipline is the major aspect of discipline It is the regulation by oneself on one’s own heart and mind. This helps to achieve our goals and respect in society. It is rightly said” He that cannot obey, cannot command.” But self discipline is only way to achieve complete Discipline

cow

He is the cow. "The cow is a successful animal. Also he is 4 footed. And because he is female, he gives milks, [but will do so when he is got child.]. sacred to Hindus and useful to man. But he has got four legs together. Two are forward and two are afterwards. His whole body can be utilized for use. More so the milk. Milk comes from 4 taps attached to his basement. [horses don't have any such attachment]
What can it do? Various ghee, butter, cream, curd, why and the condensed
milk and so forth. Also he is useful to cobbler, water mans and mankind
generally. His motion is slow only because he is of lazy species.
Also his other motion. gober] is much useful to trees, plants as well as for making flat cakes [like Pizza], in hand, and drying in the sun.

Cow is the only animal that extricates his feeding after eating. Then fterwards he chew with his teeth whom are situated in the inside of the mouth. He is incessantly in the meadows in the grass. His only attacking and defending organ is the horns, specially so when he is got child.
This is done by knowing his head whereby he causes the weapons to be
paralleled to the ground of the earth and instantly proceed with great
velocity forwards. He has got tails also, situated in the backyard, but not
like similar animals. It has hairs on the other end of the other side.
This is done to frighten away the flies which alight on his cohesive body
hereupon he gives hit with it.
The palms of his feet are soft unto the touch. So the grasses head is not
crushed. At night time have poses by looking down on the ground and he
shouts. His eyes and nose are like his other relatives. This is the cow.

Why Plastic surgery is good for self esteem

Self esteem, however, is not all about one’s physical appearance; in fact it is a feeling that comes from The question of how far plastic surgery can boost one’s self esteem has been much discussed and there is no doubt that fair physical appearance of a person can provide one with extra self confidence. There are many factors that can affect the self esteem of a person which vary from factors like age, social and economic status, family backgrounds and physical or psychological image. People, who undertake plastic surgeries do so sometimes because of low self esteem, lack of positive self image, physical deformity or to gain public attention. However, self esteem is not all about physical image; it is more of a Psychological factor. But, one can state it clearly that the physical image of a person acts as a strong factor that can promote positive self image and in this respect plastic surgeries have got a key role to play in the creation of positive self image in people. Besides, it is the physical image of the person that is easily noticed by other people and there is a tendency for everyone to judge people based on Appearance at the first sight. All these underline the significance of plastic surgery in the creation of one’s self image.
Plastic surgery is generally classified into two categories- reconstructive and aesthetic. Reconstructive surgeries are necessary for an individual to be able to function normally, whether it is physically or socially. A child without an ear or a distorted face is most likely to undergo psychological problems that can adversely affect his/her self concept. So plastic surgeries help such people to get rid of their physical short comings and come to the fore front of social life. One must never forget the fact that one’s self concept is closely connected to social acceptability and recognition. However, aesthetic plastic surgeries are completely voluntary and unnecessary for normal human functioning and they mainly aim at the enhancement of one’s physical appearance. No doubt, such surgeries are also capable of providing self esteem and self confidence to individuals who lack them otherwise. Thus, it can be stated that people who suffer from low self esteem due to their poor physical image can gain a lot from plastic surgeries.
deep within one’s soul. Self-esteem involves judging your worth as a person. People with healthy self-esteem feel good about themselves and see them as worthwhile. Self-esteem check: Too low, too high or just right? Even though self concept involves social, cultural, economic and psychological factors, a person who cannot respect his physical image will always be lacking the confidence to present himself in front of a group and he will be retreating from social interaction. Young children are most likely to be introverts who suffer from inferiority complex. Therefore, it is advisable for such people to subject themselves to plastic surgeries and gain self esteem.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons strongly advocates that plastic surgeries enhance both self image and self concept of the individual. It states that People who are happy with their self-image are more likely to be self-confident, effective in work and social situations, and comfortable in their relationships. Those who are dissatisfied tend to be self-conscious, inhibited, and less effective in activities

Compare and contrast guerrilla warfare and terroris

rrorism is the systematic use of coercive intimidation, usually to service political ends. It is used to create andGuerrilla warfare and urban terrorism can be distinguished as forms of action by the intended target; the methods and tactics used by each group are often strikingly similar. Guerrilla is the one who engages in irregular warfare, especially as a member of an independent unit carrying out harassment and sabotage. Te exploit a climate of fear among a wider group than the immediate victims of the violence, and to publicize a cause, as well as to coerce a target to acceding to the terrorists' aims.
Terrorist and guerrilla groups can fall into both of these categories. “Guerrilla” means “little war” in Spanish and, typically, those engaged in guerrilla warfare are fighting for liberation of a native land from an oppressive regime; the right to fight against a foreign oppressor (and in some cases, a native one) is recognized by the United Nations. There are rules for waging an irregular war. In addition to military tactics, outlines include guidance on dealing with the local population in a respectful manner. In any case, uninvolved non-combatants are not to be engaged within the context of a pure guerrilla conflict. On the contrary: the populace is to be wooed to the side of the guerrilla force. Many terrorists also shelter with or blend into sympathetic populations
